East Street Games Survivor and Zombie

Hi guys,

I will skip the apologetic introduction and I will dive right in - Few weeks back I received a nice parcel from the good man Clint of  Anything but a one! fame. (Thanks again!)

Among other things he sent me were these two miniatures of a female survivor in a living and zombified form. They are from a newish company called East Street Games for their Zombie Apocalypse game called Bullets and Brains.

Unfortunately the page offers very little information at this point and I would wish to at least see the sculpts, but Clint has posted a lengthy AAR in his April posts...actually, just click Here and then check the newer posts for parts 2 and 3.

As far as the miniature goes, the sculpt is fantastic. I have an abundance of survivors with firearms, so seeing one with a melee weapon was a welcoming change. The survivor is not cluttered with the detail, but the jacket, for example, was nicely detailed, so it pains up nice and fast. This is just a personal preference, but I like it as it feels a lot like a gaming piece and doesn't give me nightmares when I am painting it.

I more or less copied the paints from the web page, but I went with Khaki shorts as and a hat as I felt the jacket was blue enough. I kept the same paints for both of them and the zombie was given the pale and purple treatment that I found I like the most for the zombies and undead in general.

For zombie, things are more or less the same. It doesn't have the typical shambling stance I like, but it looks like it barely stands upright, so this is "zombie enough" for me. It is full of little details, little cuts, little gun shot wounds, I could swear I saw one eyeball dangling out and there are even some blisters. One of the legs shows some bone, so there was a lot of diversity on it. The only thing that struck me was the gun shot wound on the hat. Not that I mind it, as it looks good, but as we like to associate dead zombies with blown up heads, this makes it a Living Living Dead.

I apologise for bad photos, I blame it on the weather!

This is it for today, and I'll post again next week, if all goes as planned!

Female survivors

Hello,

I've finally got to it and finished first 28mm survivors I've managed to get for my zombie project.
You can see unboxing post here. I had quite some problems with them (it started even before I got them due to LGS mishap and it only got worse) and while I think they're not bad miniatures, they're somewhat sci-fish and they wouldn't be my first choice. They needed quite some cleaning up, if I remember correctly, but now that they're all painted they look quite nice.

I have painted the rest before (I have one male as it was packed wrongly and I got the right miniature from them eventually) and I've taken some group shots that you can see below.

I've learned quite few things while I was painting those, most notably I'm sick of greys and blacks I used to love that much :D.

So, first miniature is highly converted. Gun was cut of, right arm repositioned and TAG flamethrower was placed in her hand. Apparently, because flamethrower is just like a chainsaw, you got to have one! Pipe is just a brass springy wire. Second one only had wire inserted in her right hand and sculpted to roughly present a dagger. I wanted as many survivors as possible to carry melee weapons so thats about it.

Not much to say about miniatures themselves. I am quite happy with the result, yet I can't lose the feeling they were a rush job (that took me week to finish -.-)...I just can't get myself to enjoy painting at the moment. Perhaps I should put some plastic zeds together while I wait for my mojo to come back.

Below is a group shot with blurry WIP sculpts that have also came to an unfortunate standstill. Apart from two girls shown today, only a guy is converted (got a pistol in his right hand).

All in all it isn't too much of a work done, but considering how limited my survivors range is, I am over half done! I got more much more painted (and to paint) for Strange Aeons, for example...if we don't count the zombies!

Thanks for looking,

Alive and kicking!

Nope, not your favorite 80's song!

Ending Strange Aeons streak, I've painted some zombie hunters / survivors...call them what you will. I still have loads to paint for SA, but I felt joy has turned into mindless painting, so I figured switching a genre should help.

Before I start, excuse the shine...it comes from Vallejo mat varnish (or so they label it). The first bottle I used (17ml) was fine, but now I am suffering trough 60ml of this semi-shiny liquid and I don't like it. Considering the season, I might go pick up a mat varnish in spray and give all those miniatures a quick run do dull the shine a bit.

So, on to the survivors. Every single one of them is converted (yay!) From left to right, we got converted mantic-hasslefree Ken. This one had deformed G36 rifle (I got replacement :P), but otherwise, miniature was fine. I've decided to go all patriotic with it and I converted a rifle a bit, making it FN F2000S. It is a damn sexy rifle and my great life plan is making a bunch of slovenian (or is it slovene?) soldiers. I've also gave it a civilian backpack and "skull" mask over his face. My painting doesn't really show it, but in general, I'm quite satisfied with it.
The police officer in the middle comes from TAG, SWAT officer with baton and shield. Now, I've had this one laying around for quite a while and I really like it. Idea for him comes from suggestions I've found when I've joined Board of the Living Lead,  your place of choice for all living lead fans. I've piled his glasses and sculpted him a helmet visor (but you could buy those from TAG, check modern russian accessories). I have made his silly stick into a zombie-hacking machine - an axe. He wasn't awesome enough, so I've drilled trough his radio and gave him a sawn off...just in case. You can see he has his right hand protected by chainmail. I have no idea if he got it from a butcher or a diver, but it does a job! As you can see, his shield is quite bloody...I am no expert but I'd say someone was decapitated with it (dramatic sound)!
Decal was sent to me aaaages ago by Lucky Joe - Thanks man!
Last guy comes from TAG as well, he is a freebie miniature (search headhunter). This one is the least converted, he was given a TAG holstered pistol (search modern US accessories, IIRC) and an over sized harness...I'm learning! I have tried doing some stringy gore with UHU glue and pulled the strings from the dead head down to the floor, but it snapped.

Vehicle is from poundland, got it in April. Not the best around, but hey, it's an ambulance! :P

I don't have much interest in moderns atm, but I have to say I really enjoyed painting some gore again. I will post in bigger intervals now, as my mojo still isn't quite back, but I am aiming for at least a post per week...if nothing else, I have a lot to "think" about - sci-fi mutant hunt, cold war gone hot drooling, and there was one other thing I was really into, but it has escaped my mind atm!

Thanks for looking,
Mathyoo

Modern survivors conversions

I am neglecting hobby due to all the work I got with my study, but here are some photos of two conversions I've been doing lately:

First is TAG's riot policeman (4th guy from left here. When I've joined Board of the Living Lead there was a discussion about useful survivor's equipment. I am not certain who it was (think it was Brummie), but someone mentioned chainmail against sharks and talked something about a pike and a shield as an useful weapons to fight the hordes. That was the basic idea, the rest was just added as I saw fit.
He will have a riot shield attached, but so far, here is the list of modifications:
A visor instead of tactical glasses. Protect the face!
A baton turned into an axe. Hack it, don't smack it!
One hand got dressed in the chainmail, against the bites!
Lost a little radio on his back, gained sawn-off shotgun. Explanation needed?

The second is a mantic-hasslefree Ken. I've got mine misscasted and replaced (with no hassle, good job mantic here). I was left with the miniature that provided a nice basis for some converting. I changed his G36 for F2000s our army uses. An "interesting" fact: Slovenian army was picking between G36 and F2000 at one point, deciding to go with belgian gun nobody uses instead of german field proven piece. It is a bullpup gun, but I think I roughly got the shape without it looking too wrong. To really make it F2000s (mind the S for "Slovenian", yay), I'd need to put a red-point aiming device on top of the rail. I did no further conversions for a long time, but I've lately modeled the back-pack and a face mask for some more variety.

Thats it for today,
next time, we can discuss all the good guys that bring presents to nice slovenian children in December. Yes, plural. No, not zombie related.

Cheers,
Mathyoo

TAG Deltas in civilian clothes

Hello,

I am a bit "late" with my post, but the good thing is, I got "my" camera back. And few litres of desert sand for the figures, lol.

I haven't been idle while this week at all. I got some more zombies painted (will show them next time, I can't give you guys everything at once :P), I am moddeling some FOW minefield counters and I am curretnly painting 2 of 4 Brummbar assault tanks. Those are last miniatures for FOW that have remained unpainted and I am pretty sure haven't seen a game yet. I ordered them because I've needed them on a torunament, but they came late, so my friend borrowed me his. When I got them, plastic parts really killed my joy and I've put them together and primed them. Then new edition came and brummbars are not as useful as they were (which is, to be honest, good, because now they can't be used to hunt tanks, which wasn't their historical role anyways). I'll surely put them in my next army, just so I get a go with them. I really, really need to play FOW more again. And painting those is a hope to get me in.

Well, my interest in zombie wargaming is not as stagnant, I've painted those two TAG's Delta operatives in civilian clothes:

The guy on the left is THE most characterful figure I own, imo. He's really awesome. Its hard to see on that photo, but I've covered his left arm in tattooes. Its nothing more but a bit of german grey (that I lately use instead of black, it just feels better), mixed with flesh tone, just slapped on without any real pattern, then I've patched it a bit with skin base colour, washed, and did skin as I usualy do it. That dulled the tatto and I think it made it a bit more realistic. The other guy is nothing special, compared to him, lol. Theyre both nice, I really enjoyed painting them, but there is one problem....my 60ml (!) bottle of vallejo matte varnish is somewhat "satin". You know, glossy, but not gloss. And I hate it. Seriously, the 17mm bottle was fine, but this annoys me way to much. I'll shake the bottle next time, to see if the problem gets fixed. I am by no means a perfectionist, but that really annoys me. If I'd want satin, I'd get myself satin -.-.

Sculpting wise, Im making some little progress with the bodies. I'll speed it up and call them done pretty fast. I am not satisfied with them, but well, they're supposed to be crappy as those are my first TRULY finished miniatures. But let that be a topic for another post.

The interesting fact: First to comment will post 400th comment on this blog! Thanks for that, too!

Cheers,
Mathyoo

The Phantom group

 Hey,

a bit late with my next post, but I was doing a little of everything and I've ended up with nothing to show. I've painted TAG's SAS without packs . I've decided to call them The Phantom group (after watching Young Indiana's Jones Chronicles epizode Phantom train :P). In my story, those are special forces soldiers, who, after the apocalypse, took over recon missions. They operate around the safe places that are still run by the government. My certain team is obviously on a short mission, as they got no packs (yes, I wanted to buy minies without packs and yes, I'd buy those with biggest backpacks if I could pick again :P). I've painted them in urban uniform with olive drab equipemnt, as I did it with Grom. The cammo gave me quite some trouble as those minies have bigger surfaces than just the pants of Grom. I think I made too big blobs of white and german grey (not black!), will fix it next time. Their scarves were painted as usual arabic ones...didn't knew what else would I want to do. I might add everyone has its own colour, we got black, red, green, blue strips). Lets take a closer look...

First  soldier is armed with M4 rifle, equiped with red-dot aiming device and a tactical lamp. He looks a bit like robber with that scarf pulled over his mouth. I am sorry to see bare heads, to be honest. I'd give them all boonie hats! The second solider is armed with M4 and M203 grenade launcher. NMRIH doesn't have special rules for grenade launchers, but I will just play them as greenades that have a further range. IRL, their killing power is much bigger, if anyone is interested :P. Third guy has the best kind of vest (check second photo for the back details...i love the net). He is armed with FN Minimi...or M249 SAW for the Americans, or L108A1 SAW for the British. Fourth figure is armed identically as the first one and is my favorite mini of the 4. He has a cool boonie hat. Obviously, he was chosen to lead this team! We could probably even give him a name at this early stage...something like...out of my head....Ian "Shell" Drake or something :D.

What is cool about those minies, is the IDEA of the face paint. It, however, didn't work. There is something that bothers me, but I can't really define what excatly...its just wrong.  Here's a close up of probably the best attempt:
Thats about it. I will go sculpt and model more this week, I am working on two characters for the campaign, but I will show them when I also get the rest. The problem is, there are too many people fit to fight the appocalypse and I will probably leave some guys out. FOR NOW. Because I'd have to order from Copplestone's  to get those certain minies :P.

Well, thats ALMOST it for today. Because I also have to show you this cool freebie Pete at TAG's sent me as part of his facebook thingie:
When I was chosing mine, I knew I wanted this one. Its TOTALLY made for the zombie apocalypse. I can imagine you could see men chopping someone's heads during the outbreak!

Unboxing The assault group miniatures

Hello,

the assault group has entered the building!

I would like to say it right on the begining. I have nothing to do with TAG at all, I've only ordered one order. But wow, I love them! They mostly produce historical wargaming stuff that I don't play, but I'll surely go back and buy some russians and all once I get around to gaming chechen wars. Or something. I like those MVD russians with visors. And the rest of the SWAT guys. The rest, you ask? Well, I got the best pack now!

Miniatures came as they always do, in a nice carboard box with some filling to keep the minies safe. This is what was in the packet:

Oh, yeah, sorry for blurry pics again. I blame the enthusiasm this time!

From left top to right bottom we got .50 cal SWAT sniper freebie, SAS guys, SWAT with gasmasks (sooo cool!), a bag o'weapons and equipment - I've really complicated my order here and I must thank Pete for a hundreth time...such a great service. Then we got mixed african militia with SMG (I wanted the one with MP5, but I wrote it wrong, I got what I asked for. I really liked the other one for a conversion, but I will just make this one work). In there are two deltas in civilian clothes and another SWAT guy, with a riot shield. Also ment for converting. Last pack is mix of african militia with rifles and shotguns to represent random survivors.
Above is a large scaleshot pic. We got mantic zed, mantic-hasslefree Kev, TAG, Mantic, TAG, mantic-hasslefree tony, TAG, WGF zed, TAG, Urban war girl, mantic.
A closer pic of a part of the line. Keep in mind Hasslefree's Kev is on the smaller scale on purpose. And that mantic zeds are a bit larger, so I guess we could say TAG's minies are a little bit on the larger side.
Another part of the line, this time with smaller TAG mini (african with SMG) and WGF zeds, which are a bit smaller figs overall.
Here is the poor missordered mini. I wanted african militiaman with MP5 and a baseball cap, but I've already think of ideas how to use this guy. If all goes well, this may even end up as a better choice!

If I go on to minies themselves, they're made somewhat basic, compared to, say Hasslefree minies, but we must keep in mind, they're also much cheaper. Some of the weapons seem a bit small, for example one of the DELTA guys...but most of the miniatures seem pretty good to me. Detail is decent, eyes on some of the faces are a bit "hidden", but that can probably be fixed with a basecoat. I've bought a great variety of different pacs, but If you'd buy from same range...say, 4 packs of SWAT guys, you'd notice that they got same bodies, yet there are not two that would be the same.

I've decided to make a purchase because now I have a decent number of survivors to support my gaming. I could also buy some of the marines or british soldiers for the army, but I will go with SAS guys I bought for now. Then I will either keep it that way or I will go with eureka's germans. Honestly, I  think I'll just use SWAT for the "hard hitting" hunters.

The biggest gem in my order are the weapons. TAG sells them at 10 per pack, but Pete said I could mix as I'd want. I REALLY felt bad because I took horrible advantage over his kindness, but now I got such a great mixture of weapons that my survivors will acutally be able to find a 3D gun while searching the house. The downside of the idea is, that I need to get myself some furniture!

Well, thanks yet again for reading, I hope someone finds the short review useful. I will now go and base all the minies, diploma can wait. Then I will probably go make some sandbag emplacements and defenses so I can play "defend" scenario from NMRIH. With .50 cal emplacements. It doesn't get much cooler if you ask me!

Cheers,
Mathyoo

oh and it's Lord Siwoc's birthday today!

Shelldrake's PBB Mini me

Hello,

I've been just whining and complaining for past two weeks and now I've decided it is time to get a grip and start putting things that belong here. So I present you my character for Shelldrake's PBB 2 game. I've started painting this fellow before I left and finished him yesterday. He is not as good as I'd want to, but well, not too bad either, concerning my skills.  Photos are much worse!

I've added two pictures of his front, none is really good. Ian, please tell me if they're too bad, I will take some more today or next weekend.

As for the miniature itself, I've decided for him to represent me as he is a bit shorter and kind of slim. His hair is awfully done, I just can't paint that. He carries G36C assault rifle, which will probably be my imaginary country's main firearms. Just need some eureka germans and more hasslefree, hehe. I've painted his buletproof vest in "olive drab" kind color, but I went with urban uniform. Main reason is, I wanted to get some contrast to him, all green wouldn't work good for me, neither would all black-white, as I will probably do my SWATs in greys, too. Don't like blue too much. So, if we go back to our man, he could be a reserve formations soldier, with limited uniform. This would justify woodland vest and urban uniform beneath it. He has full cammo pants (which I am very satisfied with, as I was somewhat scared to start it) and grey turtleneck, for cold days in urban enviroment. Its based on one color green turtlenecks we got at the army. It is not designed for use without full cammo shirt over it, but well, who has time to obey regulations once the dead walk the earth?

Painting him was a real joy. I love the fingerless gloves. I love the neck guard on the vest. Don't like the vest itslef much, but well, a man can't have everything! I will definitely buy a civil version of him, give him an axe and use him as me for my own zombie slaughtering campaign!

As for the campaign characteristic, he is conveniently armed the same way as the figure I picked from Shelldrake's list of choices. The only difference, thus, is, this one is really mine :P.

Here are the stats:

Grom (it is just an acronym from my first and last name - it means "thunder" or "thunderclap" in slovenian, I am bad to the bone! :D)
Guns 7 (30)
Fists 8 (21)
Guts 11 (18)
=69

Badass zombie slayer (30)
Gunslinger (5)
I would follow him trough the gates of hell (15)
= 50

Gear
The char no. 4, my choice, was armed with an assault rifle, body armour and a pistol. So is this guy. If you're interested, he carries pistol on his left-side ribcage area. Because it all adds over 50 points limit, Grom counts as having:
A body armour (20)
An assault rifle (30)

= 50

I will jump in the game in June, after I come home so people wouldn't wait for me for no reason, and we will see how Shelldrake delivers me, once we get there!

I am glad my wargaming blog is wargaming blog again and will keep it that way

Blast! I've copied stats from forums and now its all weird. Sorry for that, seems I can't fix it -.-

Cheers,

Mathyoo

Mantic Hasslefree Adventurers unboxing

Hello guys!

On thursday, my package from Wayland games arrived. In it, there were Hasslefree zombie hunters in mantic case (more on that curiosity later) and two "loads", an old couple. Missing was a strip of greenstuff that I've ordered and which I will run out of very soon. This makes me sad, I was really looking forward to it. I was just warming myself up for converting some mantic zeds  and giving them a bit more modern clothes. This does give me an excuse to buy more stuff next time they will have a free shipping thingie, hehe.

Here is the pic of the things as I got them:

And old woman, an old man and a huge "carry case". Second pic shows you the other side of the case, if you're interested in some fluff. Let me ask you to pay attention at the lower paragraph on back side "...please do not eat them." So, those are miniature figures, not miniature bacon. Keep that in mind!

When I've ordered the adventurers, I though they are from Hasslefree. Sure it said it comes in a "mantic case", but I didn't think much of it. I even went to check minies I get in the box on the list of hasslefree producs (to avoid any double buying in future :P), and found them all... except "Kenny"  from the case was called "Ken (b)"...or did I? Read on, I'll explain you everything.  However, first thing that came to my mind when I saw the case up close was "wow that ain't painted too well". Don't get me wrong, its nicely painted, above my skill, but still, I've expected something more...artistic? And whole case is much more "meh" from up close.

After I've opened the case, here's what I saw:
...and it all made sense, looks like Mantic and Hasslefree teamed up. I went to check the Mantic's page and even read how at least one mini in each box (you also have some kids, which I'd like to get and two boxes of females, which are not what I'd want at the moment. At least not the "soldiers" one, they're all the same, hehe).
Included in the box were 4 bases and a "mantic point". Got to find those from the zeds, too. Not sure where I've put them so they wouldnt get lost -.-

Here are all the minies put in a row. Remember, hunters from hasslemantic and old couple from hasslefree. Second mini from left had his barrel broken. I guled it on and my optimism vanished after 3 sec when it fell of and got lost somewhere in all the cuts from cleaning the miniatures. As you can see, Tony guy (the first from left) is huge. And Kev is kinda small. I know he is supposed to be based on the sculptor, Kev White himself, but still, it really is a small mini. So, he has to be perfect to represent me, hah! To be honest, I am 178 cm tall and I call that average (which missus finds funny), but Im skinny enough to look smaller. Unless I find a better miniature, I think civilian version of Kev (with an axe!) will be my alter ego in the campaign. The pose of that mini is just sick...so good. But I am not a katana guy and pistol is "meh"...ah well, more on that once I get him!

I think this picture is good enough so you can play a little game with me! None of the 4 minies is unavailable at Hasslefree's, but they are kind of converted. Spot the differences and post them in the comments below!

What did you say...how do I know they're from mantic? Well, check the slotta tabs, silly! On pic above you can see they all have "hasslefree" written on the tab. And on the other side... :
If you wondered, miniatures came with lots of flash and mould lines. They're awesome sculpts, but crappy molds. Was more of a hasslemuch than hasslefree job, cleaning them up! But I did it once I was done, I had to admire the detail again. Actually, every time I grab them, I just have to watch how cool those minies are. Really awesome. I have much lower standards, to be fair, but it is still nice to have few of the top miniatures.

Here are some more pics of the minies. I will base my old couple once I get a hold of some 20mm bases, as 25mm seem too big for them...well, at least for the lady.

A

I've also took some size comparishon shots and another shot of the redhead from previous post:

Mantic-HF, Mantic zed, Mantic-HF Kev (Looks just like me, doesn't he? :P), WGF Zed, Urban war male, Mantic-HF Ken and Grant, Urban war female

And for the end, some close ups for scale and the "bonus" redhead:

I hope this was helpful at least to the guys who, as myself, were unavare of "Mantic-HF" deals!

And here is a hint for those, interested in an old couple: Click me softly!

First survivors spotted!

When I bought my Urban war female militia with pistols, I've got one guy instead of girl. I wrote about it to Urban war, and after quite some time (my mail went in their junk, but the guy apologized like 3 times or so :P), I've got it. It was one of my favorites, but isn't any more. When my brother and I played On the road scenario (short report with few findings to follow some other day next month, when I won't have time to do anything but want to keep posting), he was playing with those 3 miniatures. The "lost girl" was his sheeple, because he voted her the ugliest :P.

To show you what I mean, here are two pictures of my (first!) 3 survivors:

They don't have the names yet, but when we played they were named Tanya, Sonya and Alex(andra). There is no extensive thinking behind the pickings. We wanted to name them for the laughs and my brother figured the first one (so Tanya) looks like a russian (no offense here ;) ) so they were all Eastern Europeans. From left to right:
Tanya wears red and black combination and is my hands-down favorite from those three. I've tried to give her latex boots an imitation of gloss, but failed. Did gloss varnished her, tho, so half work done there! I hope you can see she has a patch over her eye. It looks uber cool to me, and no, it wasn't planned. I made a lifetime mistake of trying to paint the girl's eyes. My hand shook and I blew half of her face. So I just made her a patch, problem solved. She has the best face for it, from the 3, so I can call myself pretty lucky. As most of the figures, she is dressed in short skirt, to confuse the living and some kind of lether jacket.
Sonya, in the middle has black and red combination as well, but I've gave her green skirt and blonde hair. We don't want them all to look identical now, do we? Nothing else special, you can see the grey dots at the eyes, I am not trying to fix that anymore! I could do more work on her belt, but the thing is, I was working for 3 days on those 3, because I lack the time (lots to do by the end of the week :( ).
Alex is the one that came late. You can see she is quite muscular, which isn't weird, considering she carries this huge pistol. I wanted to get more constrast between her top and pants, but kind of failed. I did gave her red all star converse shoes, which are quite a lovely touch!

Let that be all for today. I am surprisingly brief, but honestly, I've been typing for 3 days now about IAEA and intelligence's role on countering terrorism, so I hate my keyboard a bit at the moment, hehe.

I could also tell you I got drafted a little "thinking post" for my campaign...as said I will post it some day next month and it will include few short ideas and a to-do list (very shortened, I may add) before I start my campaign. Currently, I am searching the net for suitable miniatures for the heroes to-be.

Urban war Militia females with pistols - unboxing

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I went back to my WGS to try and pick up Urban war miniatures I've ordered. This time, I came later in the day, so I didn't have to wait for a guy being late, and there was this nice girl on the counter and I even got my pack at last, heh. As told before, I got it with -50%, but with 20% charge on top of that, so it was -40, but that is still good enough. Urban war range is more sci-fi than modern, militia males, for example, are too futuristic. But girls are okay.

Here is the blister as I got it:

(the price seem to be old, 8 pounds dont equal 12 euro for a while now, heh)
In blister, there were included 5 lipped 30mm round bases. I much prefer the look of those bases compared to regular 25mm slotta bases, but that 5mm is simply more place taken. If you're reading that Joe, since you're using them, let me know when its your birthday and Ill send you a gift, lol. Or maybe the birthday after, so I can accumulate more of them, hehe.

So, to the miniatures. Here are all of them raw, together. The guy is top row, first from left.
Again, keep in mind those are now my first metal 28mm figures, so I might be too harsh or too light on comments. One thing I've noticed with figures was the ammount flash and everything. Below is the worst of them. While I was cutting the flash around her face, I accidently put too much pressure to the knife and chipped one of her glasses. I feel horrible, shes a nice gal. I should add, that my biggest problem was removing that fat blob you see on upper picture, lower row, left figure (in a coat, at her right hand)...that was a thick one and took some time to get rid of. Plus I had problems around the fingers afterwards. On this picutre, you can see the tibia guards she has on her boots. That is what most of them wear and it is the only thing that suggest they're made for sci fi, I guess, not a problem.
On the picture below, I've set them in a row. Nothing special here, just to show you how they look. They're from militia with pistols pack, so, obviously, they're armed with pistols. Some of them carry a bigger calibre, a desert eagle wannabe, so, in THW terms, a BA pistol.

And some comparison pictures, compared to WGF zombies and my zombies-to-become, to give you idea of scale:

Got Bonnie and Clyde shooting for their lives here:
...and Obvious Blonde shooting a zombie in his heart. Somebody here was too cool to listen to the zombie elimination classes.
And two brave girls defending from the attack of headless green ghouls down below:
Last picture shows you my sculpts, which, I may add, got some more shape since last post. Will work on them in the next few days a bit too and will show them on saturday. I've noticed Im doing something wrong, the height seems okay overall, but legs seem a bit short. That patient green has his legs finished and he looks like he hasn't ate in ages!

Thats all for today, I am satisfied with the miniatures, will use them as either survivors (and I count armed civilians in that class) or gangers. They're really nice and as with my first "unboxing" review, the main purpose of this post was to show you how they look when you get them. I got the idea of that kind of posts because I didn't want to make miniatures look bad if I won't paint them good enough and to help people see how miniatures look before paint hits them, in case anyone is ever interested.

Thanks for taking time!
